Public Relations Manager (Japan)

About the Role

You will build the media and stakeholder relationships that help overseas companies become known and trusted in Japan.

You will plan announcements, manage press contacts and prepare executives for interviews and events in Japan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop PR plans for client launches and milestones
  • Write press releases and media kits in Japanese and English
  • Build relationships with journalists and industry media
  • Organize press events and interviews
  • Prepare executives for media appearances
  • Monitor coverage and report on results
  • Collaborate with clients, designers and other Kaiser teams to deliver consistent work
  • Track results and share clear reports with clients and leadership

Qualifications

  • Degree in communications, journalism or a related field
  • 5 or more years in PR or corporate communications in Japan
  • Business-level Japanese and English
  • Strong network among Japanese media
  • Candidates authorized to work in Japan are encouraged to apply
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with occasional client visits and travel

Compensation and Benefits

As a full-time Kaiser International employee in Japan you will receive:

  • Annual base salary of ¥7,000,000 – ¥10,000,000, based on experience and skills
