Bilingual Business Communications Coordinator (Japanese / English)

About the Role

You will support clients with interpreting, translation and day-to-day business communication between Japanese and English-speaking teams.

Clients depend on you to make sure nothing gets lost between two languages and two business cultures. You will work in meetings, in writing and behind the scenes to keep communication clear, accurate and respectful.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret in meetings and calls and review translated documents
  • Prepare clear emails, summaries and meeting notes for clients
  • Help clients understand cultural and business etiquette differences
  • Support events and visits when needed
  • Provide consecutive interpreting for client meetings, calls and site visits
  • Translate and proofread contracts, proposals, presentations and emails
  • Prepare briefing notes on etiquette and expectations for each meeting
  • Build glossaries and templates the whole team can reuse
  • Collaborate with clients, designers and other Kaiser teams to deliver consistent work
  • Track results and share clear reports with clients and leadership

Qualifications

  • Fluent Japanese and English, spoken and written
  • Experience in business interpreting, translation or client communication
  • Professional, discreet and reliable
  • Comfortable learning client industries quickly
  • Degree in languages, communications, business or a related field
  • JLPT N1 or equivalent proficiency, with strong English writing
  • Experience interpreting or translating for business or legal topics
  • Candidates authorized to work in Japan are encouraged to apply
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with occasional travel or onsite work

Compensation and Benefits

As a full-time Kaiser International employee you will receive:

  • Base salary range of ¥4,500,000 to ¥6,500,000 per year, with annual bonus eligibility
