Business Development Manager (Japan)

About the Role

You will bring new clients to Kaiser by building relationships with overseas companies planning to enter Japan and with Japanese companies expanding abroad.

You will lead the conversation from first meeting to signed engagement and work closely with our delivery teams so we deliver what we promise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify target companies, industries and partner organizations
  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Lead discovery meetings and present Kaiser services in Japanese and English
  • Prepare proposals, pricing and contracts with the leadership team
  • Represent Kaiser at seminars, chambers of commerce and trade events
  • Hand over new clients to client success and delivery teams
  • Report on pipeline and revenue every month
  • Collaborate with clients and Kaiser delivery teams on projects across our five services
  • Write clear reports, checklists and presentations for client leaders

Qualifications

  • Degree in business or a related field; MBA preferred
  • 6 or more years in business development, sales or consulting in Japan
  • Business-level Japanese and fluent English
  • Track record of winning B2B clients and meeting revenue goals
  • Strong network among foreign companies or associations in Japan
  • Candidates authorized to work in Japan are encouraged to apply
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with frequent client visits and travel

Compensation and Benefits

As a full-time Kaiser International employee in Japan you will receive:

  • Annual base salary of ¥8,500,000 – ¥13,000,000, based on experience and skills
