About the Role
You will provide high-level interpreting for negotiations, board meetings and technical discussions between Japanese and English speakers.
You will prepare thoroughly, stay neutral and help both sides understand each other accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpreting for business meetings
- Prepare glossaries and background research for each assignment
- Translate and review key documents
- Brief clients on communication style and etiquette
- Support events, factory visits and negotiations
- Mentor junior interpreters
- Collaborate across the marketing, setup, recruitment and events teams
- Capture lessons and feedback so we can improve how we serve clients
Qualifications
- Degree in languages or a related field
- 6 or more years in professional business interpreting
- Native-level Japanese and fluent English
- Certification or proven experience in simultaneous interpreting
- Candidates authorized to work in Japan are encouraged to apply
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with occasional client visits and travel

Compensation and Benefits
As a full-time Kaiser International employee in Japan you will receive:
- Annual base salary of ¥7,000,000 – ¥10,000,000, based on experience and skills
